VocabGo ("VocabGo", "we", "our", or "us") is a vocabulary-learning app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information (name, email, profile photo) provided by Google. You may optionally add a display name, username, gender, and avatar photo.
User content. Vocabulary words, sentences, definitions, topics, and any images you attach to them. Images you upload are stored with our storage provider (Cloudflare R2).
Learning activity. Study progress, review history, streaks, favorites, and in-app game results, so the app can schedule reviews and show your progress.
Purchase information. If you subscribe to Premium, Apple's App Store processes the transaction. We receive only your subscription status (active/expired) — we never see or store your payment card details.
Advertising. Free-tier usage may show ads served by Google AdMob. We do not use App Tracking Transparency / IDFA-based cross-app tracking — ads are served on a non-personalized or contextual basis. AdMob may still collect limited technical data (device type, coarse location, ad interaction) under its own privacy policy.
Analytics & diagnostics. We use Firebase Analytics to understand feature usage (e.g. words/sentences added, games completed, subscription purchases) and Firebase Crashlytics to receive crash and error reports so we can fix bugs. These reports may include device information, app version, and a general description of what the app was doing at the time — never your vocabulary content or password.
We do not sell your personal information.
Account and vocabulary data are stored using Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore database). Uploaded images are stored using Cloudflare R2. These providers may process data on servers located outside your country of residence.
You can edit or delete your vocabulary content at any time from within the app. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Delete Account, which removes your Firestore data and Firebase Authentication account. You may also request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us at the email below.
We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, associated data is removed from our systems, except where retention is required by law.
VocabGo is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (including Firebase security rules) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
